About YLUG

Yellowhammer LUG brings LEGO® fans together to build friendships, share ideas, and create more than we could alone.
- Adult and teen LEGO® fans
- Builders and collectors at every experience level
- People sharing knowledge, ideas, and friendships
What we do
Build community, one brick at a time.
Connect
Monthly meetings, build sessions, and social gatherings—including our Christmas party—give us time to swap ideas and enjoy each other’s company.
Collaborate
Shared builds and displays bring our ideas and skills together to create something bigger.
Share
Library partnerships and local events let us share our builds, welcome teen builders, and inspire the next generation of LEGO® fans.
Built in Alabama
A name with local roots.
The yellowhammer is Alabama’s state bird, tying our name to the place we call home. The hammer in our logo nods to Birmingham’s iron and steel heritage—and to the creativity of people who love to build.
Our roots are in Birmingham, Alabama, in the southeastern USA. Our community reaches beyond city limits, with online spaces connecting members between meetings and across the region.
Meet the board
Members helping members build.
YLUG is led by volunteer officers who organize meetings, support collaborative projects, connect us with the wider LEGO® community, and keep our club’s stories and activities moving.
